What this site is — and what it isn't.
These terms explain the limits of the estimating and design tools so nobody builds a budget or a permit package on the wrong document.
Estimates are preliminary
Prices produced by the calculator, configurator, or quote tool are budgetary ranges generated from typical material and labor costs. They are not offers, and they do not account for your site's soils, access, code amendments, or current steel-market pricing. Only a written proposal signed by an authorized representative is binding.
Drawings are concepts, not engineering
The elevation views and layouts shown in the design tool are visual concepts. They are not sealed engineering documents and must not be submitted for permitting or used for construction. Stamped drawings are produced by a licensed engineer after an order is placed.
Permitting and site responsibility
Unless your signed contract says otherwise, the customer is responsible for zoning approval, permits, site access, utilities, grading, and foundation work meeting the engineer's reaction requirements.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape, resell, or reverse-engineer the pricing tools, submit false information, or use the site to transmit unlawful or harmful content.
Intellectual property
Site content, drawings, photographs, and tool logic belong to the company or its licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission.
Limitation of liability
The site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site or reliance on preliminary estimates.
PRELIMINARY ESTIMATE. SUBJECT TO SITE VERIFICATION, ENGINEERING REVIEW, LOCAL BUILDING-CODE REQUIREMENTS, FINAL MATERIAL PRICING, AND FOUNDATION REVIEW.
PRELIMINARY CONCEPT ONLY. NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION. FINAL DIMENSIONS, STRUCTURAL DESIGN, CODE COMPLIANCE, LOADS, FOUNDATIONS, AND CONNECTION DETAILS MUST BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS.
